Authority Envy

I like to play around with the stuff that is connected to these blogs. Its really rather fascinating how many people have come up with nifty ways of saying "I'm better than you!"

The Technorati Authority system is one of them.

And I have authority envy.

I have an authority of 7.

One comes from AD (Hey wow, thanks man!) who has an authority rating of 253. Holy crap!

Also, BabsRN who has an authority rating of 113. Again, holy crap!

AD, Babs, someday I hope I can grow up to be as good as you guys!

Heh. Already are.

You just don't have as many readers. Yet. ;)

He's right, darlin'. I didn't have many readers either (averaged about 50 or so a day) until around April and I've been blogging for two years. Hang in there.

Just one thing though - with added popularity comes a bit of a headache. People start trying to tell you what to think. Kick 'em to the curb.

Never have cared much for the folks that think they need to think other people's thoughts for 'em.

If folks don't like what I got to say, there's no one twisting their arm to read, is there?

And yet again... *bluuussshhhh*

No ma'am, but it doesn't stop them from trying. It's why I don't allow anonymous comments and you'll periodically see a rant on there about them.

And then there are all the people that link to you. I don't have enough time in a day to write and daily read more than just a handful of them. How people maintain a daily read list of a dozen or more, I can't imagine. But there are some who will take it personally when they link you and you don't go read them. I've about stopped linking people altogether. Gotten much more selective in that.

...of course you notice I still linked you :)

Jeez Babs, you trying to make my face burst into flames here?? :P

Not that many people have linked me, as far as I know. I explore through other people's link lists, and occasionally find one that I decide needs to be linked, but for the most part, I'm just too durned new at Blogger to have a long list of links.

Yep you're new. I think the female bloggers get more of the attitude than a lot of the male bloggers do. People are terrified of women with their own minds. So just consider yourself warned ;)
