I've been neglecting checking my Sitemeter, because, well, I've hit 10,000, and that made me giddy enough that I wanted to roll with it for a while.
Checked it tonight, and holy cow, I'm approaching 20,000! Ya'll still have about two thousand hits to get me there, but I've had over eight thousand hits in two months! And, I haven't really been that forthcoming with the stuff that I consider the "goods" so thanks to everyone who's stuck with me through the times when I really didn't have much to say, welcome to those who have recently discovered me, and I promise I'll try to get something good up soon.
I am curious though, about where everyone found me. So, if you're a regular, or semi-regular reader, leave a comment and let me know how you came to find my humble little corner of the internet, and what your favorite posts are.
I'm all for fan service, (and sometimes low on inspiration) so let me know what you'd like to see more/less of! You can also always email me and ask questions/suggest blog topics, the email is on my blogger profile.
Besides, as some of you may know, feeding my ego makes me want to write more :P
I'm gonna go ahead and offer the same thing for the 20,000th visitor as I did for the 10,000th, since that prize was never claimed. When I reach 20,000 hits I'll post about it, and the person that made the magic visit will get to pick a topic for me to post about.
I know, I know, I just told ya'll to give me ideas and ask me questions, but it's all I got :P
So, get those comments and emails rolling in!

Well I found you through one of Lawdog's posts one day sometime back, and have been reading ever since. I just love it because it reminds me of back home & things I miss from when I was younger - no suggestions other than to keep writing about whatever you care to!
I think it was a mention over at Lawdog's place, but it's your writing that keeps me coming back.
Congrats on another (almost) milestone!
Ambulance Driver sent me your way, and I'm very glad he did.
Anything you write is excellent fare as far as I'm concerned; I have no favorite posts.
Though I do have a fondness for Bubba/Monkey...
Another for Lawdog here
Good 'ole Lawdog sent me...I enjoy the day to day notes of your life. You bring a smile to my face each morning. Thanks.
The LawDog led me to Ambulance Driver and one of them pionted me here. But i keep reading because it reminds me of homes and friends from the past.
My father was in the Air Force and I was born Crosby ND (Folks lived in Fortuna"look that up), moved to Greatfalls MT, A year spent between Wiliston ND (my maternal grandmother and her mother, Superior WI (my Fathers parents) while dad was in Tin city AK, Souix City IA (I can remember the stock yards and picking up popcorn laying in the fields on the way home from school), Berkinfeld Germany (another little farm Village), Kalispell MT, Joined the Air Force and off to Omaha (can remember the stock yards), To Comiso Sicily, then bak to Germany, and finaly here in Las Vegas (not very country but the NFR does come once a year).
Sorry for the poor format it started as a list and I don't have time to change it to something more correct.
Pretty sure that it was AD who led me to your place.
Write whatever you like, always entertaining.
If you finish Rewrite could you put up a linked post to all of it?
I'm another of LawDog's readers who started reading here too as soon as I found out.
I found you from Ambulance Driver, who I found from Monkey Girl, who I found from a knitting blog.
I enjoy your blog.
I check in once a week or so.
I'm not sure how I found you, but I love the blogs about schooling.
I am pretty sure I found you thru AD when I read your story about the escort car. I kept coming back because your writing is very good.
I think it was Lawdog's fault...AD, maybe, but it's your writing that keeps me coming back nearly daily to see what's up.
LOVE your writing style and up-front manner. Very glad to have found you.
I followed a post from THR to the Lawdawg, and went from there too AD, Babs, Yerself, and some others that are now my regular readin'. You make me wish I was 30-40 yrs. younger- I like country gals that have a direct and honest approach to a problem. I can prove that; I was married to a stubborn, bullheaded wench that would give you the shirt of her back, and her last dollar, but wore wore out jeans and t's most of the time. She passed away four years ago,and I don't see a replacement for her in my future. You make me laugh; you bring back memories of my early tears on the farm with my brothers and sisters. Thanks!!
Found you through AD. I've been checking for new content every week or so, but I'll get a RSS bookmark instead as a new year's resolution.
I'm a city boy who'd spent all summers between the ages 4-15 in a tiny village. I loved hanging out at the farms, trying to help out and getting in trouble. 9 years later, this summer, I had a language internship at a dairy farm and all the memories came back... so when AD wrote how cool you were, I checked out this blog and got hooked.
I got your site from AD... my favorite posts are the stuff you write about school and the horses. Your school is so much like mine; folks walking to class in spurs and everyone smelling like horses all the time. Love it!
I think I came her via AD, but as soon as I'd read a couple of your posts you went up on my links.
:0)
Came from AD. Was regular from when I found you to the holidays. Just catching up now that school's calmed down a bit.
